Mourinho signs new Real deal

Real Madrid are 4/1 with BetVictor to win the Champions League next season after Jose Mourinho committed his future to the club.

The Special One, who took Real to the last four this year and secured a first La Liga title since 2008, has signed a new contract which will keep him at the Bernabeu until 2016.

Mourinho will now no doubt target a third triumph in Europe’s elite club competition, having already lifted that trophy with Porto and Inter Milan.

A statement on the Madrid website read: “Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho have reached an agreement to extend the coach’s contract with the club until June 30, 2016.”

Speculation will also turn to possible transfer targets for the Spanish giants, who are 8/1 to land Spurs winger Gareth Bale this summer.

Punters can get 12/1 for Luka Modric to move from White Hart Lane to the Bernabeu and the same price for Mourinho to snap up Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.

Mourinho has also been taken out of the betting on who will start next season in charge of Chelsea, with Roberto Di Matteo an uneasy 8/11 favourite for this market.
