Phil Brown Odds
Phil Brown is 7/4 favourite with BetVictor to become the next permanent manager of Coventry City following reports that he is set to be interviewed for the vacant position.
The Sky Blues are believed to have established a short-list of nine possible candidates after receiving over 60 applications since last month’s dismissal of Andy Thorn.
Brown is best known for his exploits as Hull City boss, taking the Tigers from the Championship relegation zone to the Premier League, and most recently managed Preston before being axed in December.
Coventry’s Developmemt Director Steve Waggott said earlier this week: “We have been working day and night to identify candidates for interview and we are now in a position to start that next stage of the process.
“We have an interesting mix of applicants from more experienced managers, younger managers who are looking to take the next step in their career and also those with a more hands-on managerial style.
“We very much look forward to speaking to these candidates over the coming days with regards to what is a very attractive job at a very big club.”
Also among the front runners in this market are Richard Money on 3/1, Steve Staunton and Chris Wilder at 6/1, Dennis Wise at 10/1 and Terry Connor at 12/1.
League Two outfit Chesterfield are another club in the hunt for a new manager, with Sean Dyche 4/7 favourite at BetVictor to land this post and Brian Laws a 2/1 chance.
